Valentine's Easy

I have decided that Thursday's will be my official candy making day. I have had my second cup of coffee with some caramel syrup flavoring, Hmmmm and I am ready to share. I can't see the mountains this morning here in Colorado Springs because it is snowing. But there is always the breathtaking treat when the snow clears and I can see the beautiful white peaks. Ok, now I am ready to share an easy and very flavorable molded candy. This recipe requires only four items. Chocolate, flavoring, a valentine's mold of choice and  the ingredient that makes it really special, love. For gift giving, I will include a simple but lovely packaging idea.  I know that your friends and family will love receiving this small token that say's, "I love and appreciate you". I was thinking, I should do that more often...

The initial preperation is quick, however waiting for the finish product takes a little longer. You will need:

Chocolate Heart
1.5 cups of light or dark candy coating wafers
Two drops of creme de menthe
1 heart shape mold
Love

Melt chocolates in microwave in 30 second increments, stirring each time until chocolate is completely
melted. Remove from microwave and stir to ensure all of the chocolate wafers have been melted. Add the creme de menthe flavoring and stir. (Use less or more as desired). Pour chocolate carefully in to mold taking care to fill to the edges to get the complete design of the mold.  Tap the filled mold gently on the counter to remove air bubbles. Let set to chocolate is completely set. I put mine in the freezer until completely set.  About ten minutes. Longer will not hurt.  The candy should release from the mold easily and have a shiny apperance.
